Ray brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in technology and consumer lending to MBSi. Joining the team in 2023, he plays a key role in shaping MBSi’s customer-centric, innovative approach to deliver industry-best products while fostering a proactive culture both internally and externally. Prior to joining MBSi, Ray was President and CEO of Katabat, a SaaS collections software business serving global banks and lenders, where he led the company through a successful sale in 2021. Ray has also held senior executive leadership roles in consumer lending at Citizens Bank, Capital One and Citibank.
Phatela joined MBSi in 2018 and leads the engineering team in delivering innovative technology solutions that empower our customers. Focused on aligning product development and engineering efforts with customer needs, Phatela creates innovative solutions to support business growth and risk reduction. He is passionate about driving transformation, leading teams, and developing talent. Prior to joining MBSi, Phatela has worked at Accenture and Copart, a global leader in online car auctions.
Heather has over 10 years of experience in automotive finance and recovery, specializing in product development, marketing, and communication. She joined MBSi in 2018, where she leads product innovation, feature enhancements, and customer relations. Prior to MBSi, Heather held roles at DRN Data, Vigilant Solutions, Think Finance, and Travelocity. In 2022, she was recognized as an Auto Remarketing 40 Under 40 Honoree.
As VP of Operations, Steve leads our Account Management and Customer Support teams, strengthening client relationships through personalized, 24/7 service and support. Steve joined the team in 2018, bringing experience in IT and software development across technology and banking. With expertise in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technology, he ensures smooth operations at MBSi. He is also a veteran, serving over eight years in the United States Marine Corps.
Liz joined MBSi in 2024, and is responsible for driving revenue by building the sales pipeline and fostering strong client relationships. She plays a key role in streamlining processes between MBSi’s Sales, Partnerships, and Marketing. With extensive experience in sales and client service, Liz has worked in first- and third-party collections, at Thomson Reuters in the Financial and Risk Division, and led sales at a tech startup serving alternative commercial lenders. In 2024, she was named an Auto Remarketing 40 Under 40 Honoree.
