You spoke, we listened, …and cultivated change
Since 2019, we have been putting effort and resources into connecting with all customers, but especially agencies to gather feedback and use the information to champion changes in the industry.
These outreach efforts resulted in:
- Elimination of the assignment accept fee and implementing a recovery only transaction fee for repossession agents who process assignments though MBSi systems
- Pre-approved tow dollies and flatbed fees for assignments, saving countless hours of back-and-forth correspondence to seek fee approvals for equipment required to complete the service.
We are pleased to announce another industry milestone:
Santander Consumer USA has agreed to assist MBSi in eliminating the recovery transaction fees paid by agencies for recovering Santander Consumer vehicles in RecoveryConnect.
SCUSA/CCAP recognizes the value of the RecoveryConnect platform in the marketplace and believes this cost-sharing approach will bring immediate value to the recovery agencies who recover their vehicles.
Here are a few important details:
- This is retroactive to January 1, 2023, which means SCUSA/CCAP recoveries made in January and February 2023 in RecoveryConnect will be credited.
- Recovery agencies will see these changes reflected on their next invoice
- Going forward, repossession agents will no longer incur any recovery transaction fees on SCUSA/CCAP accounts.
Whether we are traveling across the country to meet with agencies, facilitating meetings with customer groups, conducting surveys or attending industry-held events, we are listening. We will continue our outreach to the industry to keep our finger on the pulse of what challenges need to be addressed and to champion positive changes.
You can send us feedback anytime by reaching out to sales@mbsicorp.com or take our survey. We’d love to hear from you!
FEATURE HIGHLIGHT
Coming Soon: Optional On Hook Photo
We sent out a poll in RecoveryConnect asking agencies if an (optional) On-Hook photo feature would be useful to document flatbeds and tow dollies. The majority of you said yes…so we’re adding this to the On-Hook process. This button, “Yes, with Photo” will confirm the On-Hook and then open the camera so you can capture a photo to quickly and easily document the use of tow dollies or flatbed when completing the recovery.
Watch New/Changed Features in RecoveryConnect for updates. This is where we post new features and changes after being released by the team.
TIPS & TRICKS
What is a coverage area?
Make sure your coverage area and zones are set up in RecoveryConnect. Doing this will allow the clients to know what area(s) you cover so you can receive work. Setting up your zones will ensure the work automatically is assigned to the right field agent.
In RecoveryConnect go to Settings > Coverage Area/Zones to make sure you are all set.

Are your storage lot(s) phone numbers up-to-date?
The phone numbers listed (or currently missing) in your storage lots are important as they are displayed to lienholders and clients on the Condition Report, used in lender’s NOI letters, and used for transport/redemption.
Please go in to your company profile in RecoveryConnect and ensure that this information is accurate.
